Outfit Snap: Comic Fiesta 2012 - Non-Lolita Coordinate & New Wig!

Went to Comic Fiesta 2012! Was only in the hall for like 30mins hahaha. Too crowded, too hot, too noisy! ^^;;; Now I remember the reason why I usually go on the 2nd day instead of the first!

But I still got dressed up anyway haha. Here's a photo!

Comic Fiesta 2012 - My Outfit

I'm very happy with this outfit - it has four of my lolita dream items (dress, bolero, bag, shoes) in it, and it still makes a pretty great casual piece! The bolero, bag and shoes are piecs that my classic wardrobe never felt somewhat complete without, and the dress is very special to me as it is the dress that pulled me back into the lolita world and encouraged me to start buying dresses after admiring the fashion from afar after 8 years.

The wig is also a new purchase that I'm very excited about! I used to have short hair like this when I was in high school, and though I've been wanting to sport a short hairstyle for a while now, I'm still rather reluctant to actually cut my nice waist-length hair. The best solution? Wigs!

Of course, I first had to hunt down a wig in a style that I actually like. Just so happens that this one Gabalnara wig matched what I wanted, so I bought my first "branded" wig.

As someone who usually buys wigs from random TaoBao cosplay shops and other wig stores around town, let me tell you that there's a reason why these "branded" wigs are so much more expensive.

For one thing, though many people claim very thick wigs are the best, I find that I generally prefer a more natural thickness that ends up looking pretty full over your own hair, yet not unnaturally bushy like some thick wigs can look. Also, the fibers are much softer and silkier, and very easy to style and comb.

But the best part is just how comfortable the wig is! In fact, it was so comfortable after I put it on that I completely forgot to secure the wig with additional hairpins! And guess what - the wig actually stayed on my head on its own for 10hours, without needing any adjustments at all the whole time! Even better was that I didn't get any headaches from the wig, which some TaoBao brand wigs tend to do.

I think I'm never going back to wearing those TaoBao wigs again... Time for another round of closet cleaning ^^;; I think I need more of these Gabalnara wigs haha! Maybe I can finally get a decent blond one there?

Goodnight, peeps!

Mannequin Snap: Blue & Brown Casual Outfit

This outfit has been on here for ages! I haven't quite completed it to my full liking yet (though I actually already love it as it is haha... it just feels incomplete!) but I figured it's time I took it off the mannequin and let the clothes have some rest away from the constant light.

So here's a snap of the outfit before I start planning the next outfit to throw on Manny!

The hat was kind of an accident - I didn't have a place to keep this newly arrived hat, so I tossed it on the mannequin... and suddenly my incomplete outfit looked rather elegant! Just tossed some matching roses onto the brim, then add in matching bag and shoes, and voila! An almost complete outfit :D

Now, if only I can figure out what seems to be missing....

Outfit Snap: Lolita for Distant Worlds 2012 Kuala Lumpur

Trirose and I had an amazingly fun weekend! We had tickets for the Distant Worlds 2012 Kuala Lumpur concert on Saturday night, so we planned a girl's weekend at my house!

I had a facial on Saturday morning and had to finish up buying Christmas presents for the extended family, so Trirose only came over at 3.30pm. We were originally planning to wear kimono, but after dithering about, we decided to wear lolita instead ^^;;

Because we were chattering like magpies about anything and everything, we finally finished getting ready by 5.50pm! We took some quick outfit snaps before leaving the house and heading towards KLCC for a very lovely dinner at Harrod's and the concert.

Here is Trirose's outfit snap!

Distant Worlds Concert Kuala Lumpur 2012

Trirose is wearing AP's Memorial Cake! And BtssB's Usakumya bag, which is so adorable and so cuddly *___* This photo is sans shoes, because the proper shoes for her outfit was in her car hahaha.

This outfit was actually chosen as a back-up to her kimono outfit - she'd painted her nails this awesome teal colour to match her BtssB yukata, so her back-up lolita outfit was also pink and blue hahaha. It matches really well! I love pink and blue together ^__^

Here is another shot she took in the Dewan Filharmonik washroom, including shoes:

Distant Worlds Concert Kuala Lumpur 2012

Here's a sneak shot of the orchestra she took as well, hee!

Distant Worlds Concert Kuala Lumpur 2012

The concert was all sorts of awesome!! They played most of my favourite songs that they didn't play in London!! I was so excited! Liberi Fatali, Man with the Machine Gun, To Zanarkand, Suteki Da Ne... The only one missing was Fisherman's Horizon! But I was really pleased to hear the Maria and Draco Opera again, as well as FFIV's Theme of Love ^_^

The orchestra itself - I feel so proud of Malaysia! It wasn't as perfect as the London concert, but I say the MPO did a damn good job! Well done, guys! I'm looking forward to attending more concerts by the MPO again :)

Eh, *coughs* went on a bit of a rant there. But it was awesome!! Though I'm also wondering how much of my excitement was also from having had a glass of really good port right before the concert hahaha.

Anyway, back to the outfit snaps - here's mine!

Distant Worlds Concert Kuala Lumpur 2012

As always, I decided to go for a more Classic Lolita look. It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment decision - Trirose has the same Dim Light JSK, and we've been brainstorming (sort of XD;) for outfit ideas when it occurred to me that the roses have quite alot of pink on them, so dusty pink should match the JSK pretty well. I brought out these pieces so we could see them - and next thing you know, the outfit was on me hahahaha.

I love this blouse - it's an Innocent World dusty pink chiffon blouse that I got in last year's Halloween LP and it's gorgeous <3 It looks good with almost everything!

I paired the outfit with my bordeaux LK Bennett Mary Janes because they were the only shoes that matched other than a pair of tea parties, and I was very determined to wear heels and make the outfit look more grown-up-lolita. Er, that's why I put my hair in an updo as well hahaha. It's difficult to see in the mirror, but my hair has a pink rose and the two green bows in Meta's Dim Light series (the haircombs).

The handbag was an exact colour match to the waist tie! What a coincidence! We were both very excited when I found the bag in my mum's closet hahaha.

The neckline felt a bit too simple and plain after I took off the brooch that came with the JSK, so I plonked on a plain necklace and matching earrings and ring. I think the minimal accessories helped with making the outfit more grown-up looking!

Outfit Breakdown:
JSK, Hair combs: Metamorphose's Dim Light
Blouse: Innocent World
Shoes: LK Bennett
Bag: Prada
Jewellery: Chanel
Rose Corsage: Surface Spell
Tights: Aldo? Not sure ^^;

By the time we got home and chattered more and went to bed, it was nearly 3am so I'm pretty knackered hahaha. Will blog a bit more about Sunday later.

Toodles!

Lolita Closet

Hello peeps!

I'm just home from the UK! I was there for a little over 2 weeks for a nice long holiday, and had a really relaxing break in Cambridge (where I mostly became a couch potato in my brother's flat and spent the whole time buying and reading books ahaha).

Highlights of the trip were:

  1. Went to see Distant Worlds: London THE CELEBRATION. It was awesome!
  2. Found a really gorgeous bookstore with many interesting antique books to add to my collection! Will definitely be my favourite haunt in Cambridge!
  3. Finally managed to buy a pair of bordeaux Mary Janes for my classic lolita wardrobe that's also suitable to wear with officewear! They're from LK Bennet :)

That said, I was putting away some freshly laundered dresses into my loli closet and just decided to snap a random photo:

Lolita Closet

(This cupboard is actually in my brother's room here. I appropriated it for my use since he's not here most of the time hahaha)

My lolita closet is getting pretty full! This is all dresses, skirts, boleros, blouses and cutsews that are from lolita labels only. (And yes, that does include Bodyline, Infanta, R-series, etc) Except for a very select few pieces, maybe two or three each of cutsews, boleros and skirts, this closet doesn't include my mainstream loli-able stuff :)

Hmmm now that I think about it, there actually may a few Innocent World items that I use in my dailywear so often it's migrated to my dailywear closet instead hahaha.

(Bags, shoes, socks and other accessories are kept in a separate area too)

There actually is an order to this mess:

Top row:
OPs, from light colours to dark colours
JSKs, from black to green to blue to beige to pink to brown to red.
Skirts, form black to brown to blue

Bottom row:
Boleros & cardigans, from light colours to dark colours
Cutsews & blouses, from light colours to dark colours
Skirts, random colours to red to pink. There's white and beige somewhere in there, but I think it ot mixed up somewhere in "random colours"

Need to stop shopping! XD

Lolita Meet-up @ TWG Pavilion

Had a meet-up with a couple of friends on Saturday! The theme was OTT and I was supposed to wear OTT Gothic, but my tummy has been very tender since I fell sick. When I tried on the bonnet and corset that morning, I nearly threw up, so I had to come up with a last-minute emergency coordination.

Luckily, I’d just received this JSK (Innocent World's Antique Rose Tiered JSK) a couple of days ago and was already playing around with a coordinate for it!

Innocent World Antique Rose Tiered JSK in Gray

We met up at Tokyo Street, Pavilion before heading downstairs for lunch at TWG Teas. We were absolutely baffled by the tea menu - so many choices! I already knew my favourite blend (Grand Wedding, which is Earl Grey with additional fruitiness and a hint of floral) but poor Iris and JL had a tough time deciding on a tea!

We finally asked for recommendations from one of the waiters, but I'm afraid we forgot to take notes of which teas we ordered ^^;;; I distinctly remember Iris ordering Charlemagne tea, which had the most amazing aroma, but JL's first pot of tea has slipped my mind ^^;;

While waiting for the food, we browsed through some of my Sakizou artbooks and chatted for a bit. The food arrived surprisingly fast!

Here's the spread:

Yum! And here's some of us having lunch:

Lolita Meet-up @ TWG Pavilion

Haha don't mind the derpy face! I'd just taken a bite of egg!

In case you're wondering about the food - JL and I were having their brunch set menu, which included a pot of tea, a glass of juice, a main course, a bread dish, and a dessert.

I had the Gourmet menu: scrambled eggs with truffle oil and prawn salad, with toasted brioche, orange juice, and a strawberry tart.

JL had the Summer menu: a vegetable quiche with salad, scones, apple juice and I think a praline.

Iris had a plate of beef stew, but we all shared our desserts and JL shared her scones so everyone had more than enough to eat!

After polishing off our delicious meal, we started exchanging showpieces that JL and I brought! I had promised to show her Grazia Crown and Charles Crown, and she had very kindly helped me buy Stained Glass Rose and a heart bag from Baby when she was in Japan a few weeks ago.

Of course, all this was accompanied by lots of chatter about random things from brand lucky packs to odd dreams we've had before XD;

After finishing our second pots of tea (Bain de Rose for JL, and Midsummer Night for me. Yes, I did order it solely for its name and its similarity to Shakespeare
s works and the AatP print! XD;), we decided to vacate the table to allow other patrons of the cafe to enjoy their food.

We stopped by Shu Uemura for JL to pick up something, then spent some time at a nearby department store just browsing stuff and looking for loli-able items. We managed to get one of the department store staff to take a group photo of us!

Lolita Meet-up @ TWG Pavilion

Of course, right after snapping photos, they were all asking their turn to take photos with us! ^^;;

Actually, we did get quite alot of photo requests that day... There was a bunch of moms who were very keen on taking photos of us with their young kids (toddlers, really!), and a couple of groups of tourists who were so enthusiastic I had a hard time saying no to them. Sorry, Iris and JL, for always saying yes, but it's so hard to say no when they have that sparkle in their eyes and seem genuinely happy to see us all dolled up!

Lots of people asked where we were from - they were always very surprised to find out we are locals! They seemed to think that we were tourists too ^^;;;

Of course, there was the obligatory laughter, but people like that generally aren't worth paying much attention to :)

(On a side note, my colleagues couldn't believe the girl in the photos was me ^^; They said it didn't look like me at all! Then again, I never make an effort to look nice for the office, so maybe that's why hahaha)

Now! Outfit snaps!

Lolita Meet-up @ TWG Pavilion

Iris is wearing Bodyline's teddy bear print! It looks so good on her! She was really really cute, and I think she made her own jewellery :) I'm also really loving the wig - very thick and quite natural-looking! By the way, her favourite theme is teddy bears :) She was really a hit with the kids!

Lolita Meet-up @ TWG Pavilion

I'm pretty sure we actually managed to get a solo photo of JL somewhere, but maybe I'm remembering wrong XD;;; Anyway! JL and I had been discussing outfits before the day of the meet-up and though I had to disappoint her by not wearing my intended outfit, she did wear her planned outfit!

Isn't it gorgeous? *__* I adore that JSK, and when paired with that bonnet, it just blows my mind! I really love her added red roses in the bonnet - they look so good together, and brings more cohesiveness between her headpiece and the rest of her outfit!

Lolita Meet-up @ TWG Pavilion

And now for mine:

The grays of my outfit don't really match, but at that point in time, I actually didn't care so much haha. I just wanted to wear a comfortable pair of shoes, and I wanted to use this particular bag and dress together (both my mum and I thought they were a great colour match, especially when you include the bracelet I wore), and they were all in shades of gray, so they got thrown together haha.

I really wanted to wear the Elizabeth bolero with this JSK, but my sister told me this one (Millefeuille Lace) looked better, so I went with this one instead. Besides, the sleeves on the Elizabeth bolero were a little uncomfortable anyway ^_^”” Luckily, my friends were very understanding about my not wearing fully OTT!

On a side note, I was very surprised to find out that this JSK actually has no zipper, but the back is fully shirred, so it was very easy to get into the dress. Looking back at the photos, I think I didn't have enough poof for the skirt ^^;; Oh well, I'll need to remember that this petticoat needs a companion to keep my skirt fluffy!

I styled my own hair that day (woke up extra early to do it too!), but by the time this photo was taken it was mostly all over the place hahaha.

My make up was giving me lots of problems because my eyes were really watery that morning and my eyeliner and mascara kept smearing D: I had to re-do my make up a few times and it took me over an hour to make it passable! I was also trying out a new colour for my eyeshadow (gray and silver) to match the JSK, but I'm not sure if I like the colour directly on my skin!

Jewellery were chosen at random because pearls always look nice in classic loli hahaha.

Saturday was really fun! ^___^ Been far too long since we’ve had a loli meet-up, and it was really nice to meet someone new too!

Thanks, girls, for the lovely day out and for cheering me up when I was sick! Let's meet up again soon! :D

(Yikes, just realized how long-winded I was in this post! Hahahaha)

Innocent World Rottenburg Skirt in Black

Hahaha I'm getting mixed up between what I've posted on Tumblr and what I've posted here, so I decided to make sure everything's caught up on both blogs and start posting entries at the same time so I won't be so confused anymore!

Soooo.... here's today's entry! It's Innocent World's new print, Rottenburg :)

Innocent World Rottenburg Skirt

I usually prefer JSKs as they are easy to wear and just throw a cardigan or blazer on top for office-friendly outfits, but I really don't look good in double-breasted stuff, so I had to make do with this skirt!

It's really pretty and I was surprised at how popular the print is - the skirt is sold out on the website, and the black JSK is sold out too. I'm really glad I didn't decide to wait for it to be released on the website ^_^""

Now, if only I can come up with a coordinate for this skirt that isn't entirely black and white... ^_^""

Innocent World Charles Crown JSK in Forest Green

I've only just received this JSK on Thursday night!

Innocent World Charles Crown JSK in Forest Green

SO HAPPY! The first time IW released this dress, I couldn’t decide on which colourway I wanted, and it ended up being sold out before I managed to buy anything ^^;;

Now they’ve re-released it, so I immediately snagged it in Forest Green! It’s absolutely gorgeous *___* It’s also made of a much lighter fabric than I expected (I kind of thought it would suit a jacquard sort of fabric), but that just means it’s more wearable in our hot tropical weather, so hooray! :D

Here's a closer look at the details, which are far prettier in real life than in the stock photos:

Innocent World Charles Crown JSK in Forest Green

So excited to wear this!! But turns out I have less ideas for outfits than I thought I had hahaha.

Have to work more on creating gorgeous outfits for this dress XD It's too bad I only received it on Thursday - if I had more time to create the perfect OTT coordinate (with colours other than cream hahaha), I would be wearing it for the loli meet-up later today!

Alright, gotta go get ready~!

Outfit Snap: IW Bertille Rose JSK in non-loli coordinate

I was having dinner with my parents and a bunch of their friends to celebrate one couple's wedding anniversary as well as my mum's birthday. My mum usually likes it when I dress up, so I took out Bertille Rose for a quick casual coordinate since she also finds this dress really pretty.

Outfit Snap: IW Bertille Rose JSK in non-loli coordinate

I wanted to wear another IW bolero with this JSK (and they looked really good together too!) but it looked a little fitted on me, so I switched to this really cute offbrand bolero.

My mum colour matched the bag for me :D I think it's one of LV's runway collections from 2011.

Also, I finally found the flaws that made this JSK "B" grade! One of the buttons on the strap is rather loosely sewn on, and the fabric around the area looks pretty stressed. Also, part of the zipper is coming off from the dress, so I'll have to fix those up (the bolero covered the busted zipper, so I still wore it today ^^;;;)

Don't mind the covered up face - I'm having a cold, so I pretty much look like a cross between a zombie and Rudolph and I thought I ought to spare your eyes XD;

Btw, note to self: do not wear brand loli items when sick and prone to throwing up D: I spent half the dinner worrying I'd throw up and get some sick on my dress!

Lady Sloth Mists of Venice Skirt

After two months of waiting, I finally received my Lady Sloth order! I had three items in the parcel, and today I'm going to showcase her new skirt, Mists of Venice.

It actually wasn’t quite up for sale when I put in the order, but I did send an email to ask if I could order it and Lady Sloth kindly said yes!

Lady Sloth Mists of Venice Skirt

Soooo pretty and the fabric is absolutely gorgeous! It's a rather silky material that feels absolutely gorgeous against the skin. It's also fully lined with what feels like thin polyester.

Lady Sloth Mists of Venice Skirt

I was quite surprised to see the pink lace with this skirt, but after closely inspecting the fabric, I find that the colour actually does suit the skirt very well! There are hints of pink in the sky of the print that’s visible in real life (though not so much in photos) that really comes out prettily with the pink lace.

Still, I will probably change the lace to something cream or gray or black, or even just take off the lace altogether and wear different underskirts depending on the look I’m going for.

I received this skirt with Winter Cemetery and Garden of Delight, so I'll post those up sometime too. I actually have alot of photos to post, but I keep forgetting to post them on Blogspot ^^;;

Some upcoming things I really ought to blog about:
Lady Sloth Winter Cemetery JSK
Lady Sloth Garden of Delight Skirt & Headbow
Lady Sloth Clock Print JSK
Lady Sloth Landscape JSK
Innocent World January 2012 Oddments Lucky Pack
Innocent World 2012 New Year Lucky Pack
Innocent World Summer 2012 Oddments Lucky Pack
Innocent World Rottenburg Skirt
Juliette et Justine Le Monde de L'ange skirt
... and a whole bunch more stuff ^^;;;

Haha, looks like I have much more to write about than I originally thought! I'll try to write more often then :)

Goodnight!

Metamorphose Dim Light JSK (Short Version) - Green

Received my Dim Light JSK today!!!

Metamorphose Dim Light Pinafore Dress (Mini Length)

Meta had actually promised me they'd change my reservation for the Mini length to the Medium length for me, but they ended up sending me the Mini length anyway. But I'm actually pretty happy about it because after thinking about it for the past few days, I actually prefer the shorter version!

Here's a closer photo of the gorgeous print:

Metamorphose Dim Light Pinafore Dress (Mini Length)

And here are the ribbon combs that match the series! I've put my iPhone in the photo for size comparison :D

Metamorphose Dim Light Ribbon Combs

Squeee so excited to wear this!! I would wear it for the loli meet on the 29th, but we made a pact that each of us would wear OTT of one style. I happen to be the only one with enough stuff for OTT Gothic (no idea how that happened since I just realised I have barely any black stuff in my wardrobe!) so that's what I'm wearing XD

Hmmm what to pair this JSK with.... Other than white, I wanted to pair my IW Millefeuille bolero (wine colourway) with this JSK, but now it seems the bolero might be a tad too dark. I might pair this with yellow, considering that the 'light gold' parts of the print actually look like pale yellow.

*happy*

Outfit Snap: Innocent World Antique Book JSK - with cream & black

Innocent World Antique Book JSK - with cream & black

Today’s coordinate :) I was wearing JSK for my sister’s birthday celebration dinner with a few friends of the family, and thought I’d just pop on a quick loli coordinate.

The bolero and JSK isn’t a great match (the lace is a little too bright for the JSK) but I hope I offset that with offwhite OTKs! I would’ve been happier with some offwhite flowers in my hair, but I’d forgotten about them ^^;

JSK, Headbow: Innocent World’s Antique Book JSK in Black
Bolero, Bag: Innocent World
OTKS: Metamorphose
Shoes: Bodyline
Earrings, Parasol: Offbrand

Note to self: this JSK & bolero combo is really REALLY warm. Do not wear out in the summer sun! >_<”

Juliette et Justine La Robe du Chateau in Blue

Just yesterday, one of my pre-orders for a Juliette et Justine dress arrived (along with two necklaces I'd bought straight from the shop)!

I was so excited as it had arrived faster than I expected!

Juliette et Justine La Robe du Chateau - Blue

When getting ready for an Independence Day/sister's birthday lunch today, I couldn't decide on what to wear. Then I spotted this dress and knew that such a special piece would definitely be perfect for such a special occasion! :D

I didn't really feel like wearing full-on loli since we were going to eat at a fancy hotel, but the JSK is also a little too low cut for me to comfortably wear it without a blouse, so I came up with a loli-inspired outfit! Feels a bit like a cross between otome and otona style!

Non-Loli Coord for JetJ La Robe du Chateau in Blue

I paired it with pale pink to match the roses on the dress. The blouse is an office blouse made of chiffon - it's a little odd with the heavy raw silk sort of texture that the JetJ dress has, but I find the contrast quite interesting. I actually bought this blouse to use in my lolita coordinates, but it was so comfortable it moved to my office wardrobe permanently, and I kind of forgot about using it with my loli JSKs!

The shoes don’t really match, but they were the closest shade of pink I could find - the only other pair of matching shoes that I had were white and had killer heels!

Can’t see from the photo, but my hair is half-tied back with a really big pink bow that matches the chiffon blouse :D

Outfit Breakdown:
JSK:
Juliette et Justine
Shoes: LK Bennett
Bag and Bracelet: Louis Vuitton
Blouse, Earrings, Headbow & Petticoat: Offbrand

I let my mum do the honours of opening the parcel for me since she hasn't been well and had to be sent to the hospital a couple of times this week and really needed something to distract her. I was very pleased that even she found the dress breath-taking as she usually dislikes lolita clothing immensely.

Well, that said, she actually dislikes sweet and gothic (I think it's too much of a step away from mainstream fashion) but 100% approves classic style - she's even said that if she had found this fashion when she was younger, she probably would've worn classic lolita! Makes me feel really proud since I wear classic most of the time :) I just have to be really careful not to wear sweet or gothic lolita when I know she's around ^^;

On a separate note, my Innocent World Oddments Lucky Pack was shipped out today!! Such a happy bit of news to hear after the past few days of worrying about my mum :) I can't wait to receive it!

Ta and goodnight~

"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge!

After reading (over and over and over again ^^;;) this entry at F*** Yeah Lolita on building a complete Lolita wardrobe, I’ve been feeling rather inspired to do a similar “Complete Lolita Wardrobe” sort of challenge with a limited number of Lolita pieces from my own wardrobe.

It’s been rather slow at work and in life lately, so I’ve taken to daydreaming about this challenge – and here is my “Complete Lolita Wardrobe”, following the same number of items Caro-chan used in her post! :) Since my wardrobe contains mainly classic, I went along that route.

My chosen pieces:

1 Special Piece
Alice and the Pirates: Masquerade Theatre JSK in Ivory
AatP Masquerade Theatre JSK
I chose this JSK as my special piece as it’s one of my dream prints as well as one of the most intricate prints I have. I almost chose my Innocent World Margrette JSK (it was the JSK that brought me fully into Lolita after years of “just looking” ^^) but decided it was too similar to my easy-to-match dresses.

2 Easy-to-Coordinate Dresses
Innocent World’s Viennese Waltz in Blue
Innocent World’s Alencon JSK in Ivory
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
I probably should have chosen a less intricate print than Viennese Waltz, but I think I’m in a phase – I just can’t get enough of it! ^^;; Alencon is my easy back-up dress because it can match just about anything in a classic wardrobe.

2 Skirts
Innocent World’s Camille Skirt in Chocolat
Innocent World’s Romatic Rose Skirt
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
I chose one printed skirt and one plain skirt for variety. Both are really casual skirts that are fairly simple in design, but Lolita skirts generally tend to be casual wear for me.

3 Blouses
Innocent World’s LP Short Sleeved Blouse with Jabot
Innocent World’s Lily Emblem Chiffon Blouse with Jabot
Offbrand Brown Blouse
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
Since it’s forever summer where I live, I decided to pick two blouses that would be suitable for the local weather. I chose a brown blouse from my officewear closet because brown matches the bag and shoes I chose for this challenge.

2 Cutsews
Innocent World Blue Cutsew
Innocent World’s Polkadot Lace Pullover in Pink
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
These cutsews were chosen to add more colour to my wardrobe :) Since my wardrobe seems to be mostly ivory and brown, I figured these colourful cutsews were easy ways of adding more interest to my outfits.

2 Outerwear
Alannah Hill Blue Pearls Cardigan
Innocent World’s Millefeuille Lace Bolero in Bordeaux
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
The Millefeuille lace bolero was one of my dream items and I was so happy to be able to buy it when Innocent World restocked the L size recently :D No wardrobe of mine would ever be complete without it haha! The Alannah Hill cardigan is another piece from my officewear closet. It’s just so pretty I can’t help but want to wear it with everything!

1 Bag & 1 Pair of Shoes
Innocent World’s Rose Lace Book Bag in Chocolat
Dune Boots in Brown
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
Following Caro-chan’s post, I picked only one bag and one pair of shoes for this challenge. I chose the book bag because it’s another of my dream items (and one of the very very few brand pieces that I actually paid full price for), and the shoes were chosen because they are a very smart looking pair that match the bag and the overall classic look. The shoes were taken from my dailywear closet.

Various Socks, Tights, Jewellery, Headwear & Accessories
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
I chose a large selection of jewellery, accessories, tights, socks and headwear from my dailywear closet. The only items from my “Exclusively Lolita” closet are the OTKs, the bonnet (commissioned by Caro-chan! ^_^) and the canotier. Not all the items I’ve used in my coordinates are pictured here :)

And mustn’t forget the most important of all: The Petticoat
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
The petticoat actually consists of one offbrand petticoat, one In The Starlight petticoat and one Dear Celine skirt layered for poofiness. I find this combination gives the best shape :)

Aaaaand that’s all of my chosen items for the “Complete Lolita Wardrobe” challenge!

Now, following Caro-chan’s post, I’ve come up with three outfits for each main piece. I could do more coordinates, but they actually do start looking a bit similar after a while ^^;

Anyway, here we go with the coordinates!

Alice and the Pirates Masquerade Theatre JSK #1
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
I wanted to make sure my special piece had a more formal coordinate for those special days, so I paired it with my bonnet and my most extravagant pieces :D For cooler weather, it’ll be easy to throw on a cape over this outfit!

Alice and the Pirates Masquerade Theatre JSK #2
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
This is a rather ordinary-looking coordinate for classic Lolita, but I rather like it because it lets the dress and the print become the main focus of the outfit.

Alice and the Pirates Masquerade Theatre JSK #3
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
A rather casual outfit for my “special piece”! But I find this pale blue so pretty when paired with ivory and beige :D

"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
I love straw hats and parasols in Lolita coordinates :D This ensemble should be worn with a low updo with wispy strands around the face to complement the summery look. If I could choose a second pair of shoes and bag, I would definitely choose something in beige or ivory to match the parasol.

"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
A casual coordinate with a JSK because I’m always wearing casual classic! It seems so natural to pair this JSK with soft pink – such a sweet colour combination!

"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
This is a more formal coordinate, which can also be used for special occasions :D Layering the blouse and bolero is a little too warm for this country, but it’s something I’d probably wear if I were to attend a Lolita meet-up in another country with a colder climate. I rather like Bordeaux and light blue together – Bordeaux gives any outfit a lush feeling, while light blue softens the effect so that it still looks sweet despite the rich colour.

Innocent World Alencon JSK #1
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
Another ordinary coordinate to let the focus stay on the JSK’s print, since it’s also quite intricate upclose!

Innocent World Alencon JSK #2
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
This coordinate is rather similar to the #1 ordinary coordinate, but swaps the blouse for the Bordeaux bolero. I rather like the sudden splash of Bordeaux here.

"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
Since this JSK is so neutral, it’s easy to add a splash of colour with this cutsew. I tied in the blue with the few blue accessories I have.

Innocent World Romantic Rose Skirt #1
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
Casual but sweet! I’m using pale blue to draw out the blue in the skirt. This is probably the closest I’ll get to wearing sweet Lolita :)

Innocent World Romantic Rose Skirt #2
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
A summery casual country coordinate! This skirt has a rough sort of texture that really makes me think of picnics and country Lolita. Best to pair this with a picnic basket :D

The blouse makes the outfit look smart enough for lunch at a hotel restaurant :) I would wear an updo with the canotier to add to the slightly more formal feel.

Innocent World Camille Skirt #1
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
I had to find some other way of incorporating this cutsew into my wardrobe XD Luckily, I think blue and brown are great together! I just need more accessories in this shade of blue… I actually kind of hate this outfit XD;

Innocent World Camille Skirt #2
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
Yet another casual coordinate! This one is geared more towards slightly cooler weather.

Innocent World Camille Skirt #3
"Complete Lolita Wardrobe" Challenge
This is meant to be a really casual coordinate since the skirt itself looks pretty casual :) The peeking underskirt – the skirt is part of my petticoat 3-piece set, but showing it off was intentional in this outfit to tie in more of the light colours :) When planning coordinates for this skirt, this one was my least favourite outfit, but it turned out to be one of the most interesting coordinates today! ^^;

Most of the time, I tend to choose different main pieces (JSKs and skirts) to wear, so I rarely ever think about the different ways of coordinating a JSK or skirt, but this challenge has really helped me open my eyes to the many different coordinates I can wear with what I have in my closet! :D I feel like my wardrobe has just expanded many times over without having to do anything haha!

I had a lot of fun with this post! :) Try a hand with your closet as well!
