Closet Count! Skirts - Plain White/Cream

I don't have that many plain skirts, and the few that I do have are meant more as underskirts anyway!

Here are the ones that I have in white and cream:

1) Dear Celine White Skirt - 50cm version

Like all my other Dear Celine plain skirts, this one is far too short for me to use as an underskirt, but it does make for a wonderful petticoat :)

2) Dear Celine Cream Skirt - 50cm version

Hmmm, same story as the white skirt XD;;

3) Dear Celine Cream Skirt - 60cm version

This one is the proper underskirt at the proper length! :)

Aaaaand... I think that's all for skirts! I'm conciously trying to stop myself from buying skirts now, so the only additions I'm allowing are those that come in LPs :)

Speaking of which, I have a new plain black skirt to add to my earlier Closet Count post from my IW Winter LP... XD

Toodles!

Closet Count! Skirts - Red

I was supposed to be posting about my blue skirts, but I haven't taken pics of a couple of the new ones that just came in on Wednesday, so I thought I'd post about my red skirts first!

Onto the stuff:

1) Bodyline Red Gingham Desserts High Waist Skirt

I hate this skirt. I don't know, there's just something about it that I really hate... I hated it on the model, I hated stock pictures, I hated review pictures, I hated worn pictures... I'm not sure why I even bought this skirt ^^;; It's in my "got to sell" pile but I thought I'd feature it anyway - it's still a loli skirt in my closet!

2) Bodyline Red-on-White Floral High Waist Skirt

Ahhhh now here's a skirt I love!! I kind of wish I got the JSK as well, but I'm just as happy with the skirt :) I'm almost tempted to call it my Christmas skirt, really - it looks quite festive to me!

3) Dear Celine Basic Red Skirt - 50cm Version

(Sorry for the bad quality of the pic!!!)
There's a bit of a funny story behind this skirt. I originally ordered it so it could become a staple in my closet for easy outfits, and could also become an underskirt if the situation calls for it. Unfortunately, I underestimated the difference between my waist and my knees - and ordered it 50cm too short!

I ended up buying it a second time in the proper length, but I still keep this one. It makes for an excellent underskirt or emergency petticoat when I need extra poof :)

4) Dear Celine Basic Red Skirt - 60cm Version

Here's the proper length I needed! :) As mentioned, it serves as a good plain skirt or an underskirt where the situation calls for it.

That's all for my red skirts! I really ought to take pics of those other skirts I just received... XD

Cream Classic Lolita - Featuring Half-Bonnet by Ophanim!

I ordered a custom half-bonnet from Ophanim last year, and received it sometime in March (the delay in shipment was specially requested to avoid the Chinese New Year rush). I finally had the time to try it out properly today!

Since it's summer, I thought I'd wear it with a summery-looking classic outfit. I wish I had some cream crochet-ed gloves to complete this outfit!!

Wine Red & Cream Summer Lolita Mannequin Display

I had some free time on my hands today, so I decided to dress up my mannequin again!

Wine Red & Cream Summer Lolita Outfit

This time, she's wearing a bordeaux/wine red blouse from Dear Celine and a cream/beige & bordeaux skirt from Bodyline. I figured that since it was a short-sleeved shirt, I ought to make it look more summery looking than the colour scheme, which is admittedly a tad dark for this season. Maybe something to wear in late August/early September?

I've accessorized it with a random hat I got in Ho Chi Minh, and some flowers to tie in the colours. The outfit is matched with red shoes to tie in the red somewhere else other than the blouse, and I tossed in a parasol to give the outfit a lighter feel.

I wanted to add pearls somewhere, but the neckline is busy enough with the blouse's necktie things, and it was a little hard to put the bracelet somewhere noticeable.

No bag because I couldn't decide on one. I will most likely add a bag once I change the hat - this one doesn't feel particularly loli to me, so I'll have to whip up a white ribbon for my boater hat and pair it with my white-ish basket bag.

Blouse: Dear Celine
Skirt: Bodyline
Hat: ... Made in Vietnam?
Roses: Surface Spell, I think.
Shoes: Bodyline
Parasol: Btssb
