Considering a new layout...

My kimono blog has recently gone through alot of layout changes and updates, and I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out looking. I think my lolita blog is feeling kind of unloved at the moment (it's still on one of those default Blogger layouts!) so I'm thinking of changing it to something else that looks more cute and less "I can't be bothered".

So over the next few weeks, I'll most likely be changing some things about this blog ^_^

On a separate note, I bought one of the Innocent World Lucky Packs... Can't wait to see what I get!! :) July can't come any sooner haha.

Wine Red & Cream Summer Lolita Mannequin Display

I had some free time on my hands today, so I decided to dress up my mannequin again!

Wine Red & Cream Summer Lolita Outfit

This time, she's wearing a bordeaux/wine red blouse from Dear Celine and a cream/beige & bordeaux skirt from Bodyline. I figured that since it was a short-sleeved shirt, I ought to make it look more summery looking than the colour scheme, which is admittedly a tad dark for this season. Maybe something to wear in late August/early September?

I've accessorized it with a random hat I got in Ho Chi Minh, and some flowers to tie in the colours. The outfit is matched with red shoes to tie in the red somewhere else other than the blouse, and I tossed in a parasol to give the outfit a lighter feel.

I wanted to add pearls somewhere, but the neckline is busy enough with the blouse's necktie things, and it was a little hard to put the bracelet somewhere noticeable.

No bag because I couldn't decide on one. I will most likely add a bag once I change the hat - this one doesn't feel particularly loli to me, so I'll have to whip up a white ribbon for my boater hat and pair it with my white-ish basket bag.

Blouse: Dear Celine
Skirt: Bodyline
Hat: ... Made in Vietnam?
Roses: Surface Spell, I think.
Shoes: Bodyline
Parasol: Btssb

Bodyline Strawberry Gingham Outfit

There's a rather large pile of lolita clothes that I have set aside to sell off because my preference for lolita clothes (that I wear) has changed alot since I last bought them.

This is an outfit that I've put together with a bunch of pieces that I want to sell off. I'd add a blouse, but currently all the blouses I'm selling are paired off with skirts. I rather thought this would end up as a summer country lolita sort of outfit, if I had a basket bag and straw hat to match it with.

The JSK is new - only thrown on once over clothes to try on, but the bag and shoes are slightly used.

Selling for: RM265 (including shipping if in West Malaysia)

JSK: Bodyline
Bag: Bodyline
Shoes: Bodyline
Socks: offbrand
Headbow: In The Starlight

(Uhh if you're interested in buying this, drop me a message via comments or the "Contact Me" link on the side panel XD;)

Another new mannequin display~

I was using my mannequin to take some pics of clothes I want to sell, and thought it'd be nice to change the display again. I was a little tired, so I just did something simple: a skirt.

Since the last display blended in with the walls abit too much, I decided to go for something striking, so I chose to put up this pink In The Starlight skirt. Not only is it really cute, it also has faux pearls on it! I decided to accessorize it a little by adding a pearl necklace to match.

^___^ I really like changing the mannequin display for my room haha.

Newest mannequin display for my room!

Today, I was cleaning up my room and decided to dress my mannequin in something that suited my room a little more. (Previously, she was dressed in a hideous red skirt that was only on it because I needed to take pics of things to sell ^^;)

Here is the result!

Since my room is decorated in green and white, this Infanta JSK was the first thing to pop into my mind.

When I first saw this JSK, I fell in love with it immediately and just had to place an order. Unfortunately, when it arrived, I was quite disappointed - the fabric is a little too much like upholstery fabric for my liking, and the lace is cheap scratchy raschel lace, so it's not very comfortable to wear. On the other hand, it makes for a great display piece!

Just the dress on the mannequin felt a little plain, so I plonked on a hat to make it look a little more summery. It still looked too plain, so I took out my most casual pearl necklace, which just happened to match the dress's colour scheme perfectly! Such a happy coincidence :)

I'm really happy that I have such a cute display for my room now! Even happier that I also managed to find a use for this dress :)
